Associate professor Elena Pereverzeva, director of the Junior Entrepreneurship Centre at the
Moscow International Higher Business School (MIRBIS) said that it is working constantly on raising the innovation potential and creativity among young people in the framework of their career development. Given that the long-term strategic objectives towards 2020 underline the increase of students mobility, improvement the quality and effectiveness of teaching, promote active citizenship in education, MIRBIS developed and successfully implemented training programs for entrepreneurship. The main goal of these programs is to develop in students a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship as one of the key competencies for personal and professional realization. The target audience of programs is wide enough – it could include high school last-years students thinking about their future business career, students that already tried to make their first steps and adult audiences that want to test their strength and to establish their own enterprise.
The aim of all stages of these programs is to develop a sense of innovation and entrepreneurship as the ability to turn ideas into action. It includes creativity, innovation and willingness to take risks, as well as the ability to plan and manage projects to achieve the objectives. It helps individuals, not only in their daily lives at home and in society, but also in the workplace, to understand the content of their work and be able to take advantage of opportunities, it is also the basis for more specific skills and knowledge necessary to those who organizes or participates in public or commercial activity. It should include an understanding of ethical values and promote good governance.
