OBJECTIVES
The Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) promotes business incubation
activities by facilitating information exchanges among Asian incubators, incubator
clients and related organizations. Ultimately, this contributes to increased economic
activity in Asia.
How AABI was founded?
Plans to establish the AABI were agreed to during the 15th International Conference
on Business Incubation of the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), held
in San Jose, CA, USA, in May 2001. The participants included representatives of
incubator associations and organizations in China, India, Japan, Korea and Singapore.
The AABI was formally established during the 16th Conference in Toronto, Canada,
on April 30, 2002, when the AABI founding members declared the association's founding
in accordance with the Bylaws of Asian Association of Business Incubation.
AABI Members
AABI comprises associations that organize incubation resources and facilities, organizations
operating incubation programs, and more, located in Beijing(China), Shanghai(China),
Hong Kong(China), Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan,
Uzbekistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, Australia and New Zealand, totally
covers 16 nations and regions.
